GENERAL SECRETARY OF THE IMO CONGRATULATES THE RECENTLY APPOINTED MINISTER FOR MARITIME AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF PANAMA

“I want to send my most sincere congratulations and best wishes for success in the performance of his new responsibilities as Minister for Maritime Affairs and Administrator of the Panama Maritime Authority, to Eng. Noriel Araúz. I look forward in meeting you in the near future”, expressed the General Secretary of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Kitack Lim.

These congratulations were issued and send by letter addressed from the General Secretary of this Organism to the Office of the Minister for Maritime Affairs and Administrator of the Panama Maritime Authority.

Kitack Lim added that the success of the IMO is owed to a great extent, to the contribution of its Member States, and the Republic of Panama which has always performed an essential role for this Organization, as one of the most important maritime countries, and as the biggest Ship Registry in the world.

“I am grateful for the continuous contribution of Panama to the IMO’s work and I look forward with interest to the continuation of the excellent relationship between the Republic of Panama and the IMO, for our mutual benefit and that of the whole maritime community”, concluded the General Secretary.
